Project Overview

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia engaged a construction team to deliver a $70M micro hospital, a compact acute care facility designed to bring pediatric specialty services closer to Philadelphia communities. The program represented a significant expansion of CHOP's healthcare footprint, requiring a general contractor with deep experience in complex healthcare construction within a dense urban setting. The scope demanded careful coordination across clinical, mechanical, and structural systems within a compact building footprint. The client turned to PRESWERX to support the competitive pursuit with a full suite of proposal documents, renderings, animations, and presentation materials.

Client Challenges

Pursuing a $70M pediatric micro hospital in a competitive field required more than a strong qualifications package:

  • Communicating a compact, clinical program as a cohesive design story required clear visual support that went beyond floor plans.

  • The owner needed to see the finished patient experience and design quality before a single wall was built.

  • Differentiating the team in a competitive field demanded a pursuit narrative built around the owner's mission, not just the contractor's capabilities.

These challenges called for a pursuit partner who could connect construction expertise to a story the selection committee would find compelling and credible.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX produced a complete pursuit package built around the specific demands of a pediatric healthcare project. Proposal documents organized the client's approach, qualifications, and project understanding into a structured, reviewer-ready narrative. Architectural renderings captured the character and quality of the planned micro hospital, giving the owner a clear picture of the finished facility before construction began. Animations brought the building program to life in three dimensions, and a project film wove together team story, design intent, and community commitment. Presentation coaching sessions prepared the client's team to deliver a confident, coordinated message in the live interview.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX built the pursuit strategy around Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's priorities, ensuring every deliverable spoke directly to what the owner needed to see from a construction partner.

  • Proposal content was developed to lead with clinical understanding and patient experience, not just technical credentials.

  • Renderings and animations reflected the warmth and accessibility CHOP expected from a pediatric facility.

  • Coaching sessions aligned the team's live presentation to the proposal narrative, ensuring a coordinated, confident performance.

Every element worked together to tell a single story built for the owner's mission.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete, owner-ready pursuit package that equipped the client to enter the selection with confidence.

  • The proposal organized the team's qualifications and project approach into a clear, clinical-focused narrative built for a healthcare audience.

  • Renderings and animations gave the owner a vivid picture of the finished facility and the patient experience the team would deliver.

  • The project film distilled the team story and community commitment into a format the selection committee could absorb quickly.

The client went into the presentation with materials that reflected the quality and care CHOP expected from a pediatric healthcare project.
