Project Overview

A $3,300,000 cafeteria replacement at Frank Hartsfield Elementary School in Tallahassee, Florida gave Leon County Schools a modern, purpose-built dining facility for its students and staff. The project replaced an aging cafeteria with a new facility designed to serve the school's daily needs, from food preparation through student dining. As a K-12 project for a public school district, the work required a contractor who could deliver a quality result within the constraints of an active school campus. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop and refine a pursuit presentation, and to coach their team for the live selection interview.

Client Challenges

Competing for a K-12 cafeteria replacement in a public school district required the client to communicate more than basic construction experience:

  • Demonstrating the team's understanding of the operational demands of replacing a cafeteria on an active elementary school campus.

  • Differentiating a focused, community-scale project submission in a competitive public school procurement.

  • Preparing presenters to speak with confidence and clarity to a school district owner during a live selection interview.

The client needed a presentation that made a focused scope feel like a well-considered, community-minded commitment.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX developed and refined the pursuit presentation for the Frank Hartsfield Elementary School Cafeteria Replacement, building a narrative that organized the client's qualifications and approach for a public school district owner. PRESWERX worked with the client's team to sharpen the content and flow of the presentation, ensuring that each section spoke directly to Leon County Schools' priorities for a cafeteria replacement on an active elementary campus. Presentation coaching sessions then prepared the client's presenters to deliver the material with clarity and confidence in the live selection interview, ensuring the team was rehearsed and ready for the owner's questions.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX focused on building a presentation that connected the client's capabilities to the specific demands of a school cafeteria replacement for a public district owner. The team addressed three priorities:

  • Sharpening the presentation narrative to reflect the client's understanding of working within an active elementary school environment.

  • Refining content and flow to support clear, confident delivery rather than a recitation of qualifications.

  • Running coaching sessions calibrated to the tone and questions of a public school district selection interview.

The result was a client team that entered the selection prepared and in command of their message.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a polished pursuit presentation and coaching process tailored to a competitive K-12 procurement:

  • The presentation connected the client's experience to the specific operational realities of replacing a cafeteria on an active elementary school campus.

  • Coaching sessions sharpened each presenter's delivery, producing a confident, rehearsed performance aligned to a school district audience.

  • The client entered the selection with a clear message and the preparation to back it up under interview pressure.

The team went into the room ready, with a presentation that accurately reflected the quality of their approach.
