Project Overview

The Halifax County Court Renovation encompassed a phased renovation and upfit of a three-level, fully operational courthouse in Halifax, NC for Halifax County Government. Levels one and two underwent selective demolition and renovation across approximately 23,875 square feet to accommodate expanding county offices. Level three, previously open storage, was upfitted with a new district courtroom, judges' offices, a district attorney suite, and a juvenile services suite totaling approximately 18,000 square feet. A new automatic fire suppression system was installed throughout the entire 70,000-square-foot building. PRESWERX supported the client's pursuit with proposal development, presentation preparation, renderings, animations, and film production.

Client Challenges

The client faced the challenge of communicating a complex, phased renovation across an occupied courthouse to a government owner with multiple stakeholder interests:

  • The phased construction approach, which required the courthouse to remain fully operational throughout construction, needed a clear narrative that non-technical decision-makers could follow.

  • Three distinct levels of scope, each with different program requirements, needed to read as one cohesive project story.

  • Differentiating the team in a competitive government selection required polished visuals and a confident, well-rehearsed presentation.

Clear storytelling and compelling imagery were essential to building the owner's confidence in the client's approach.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX delivered a full pursuit support package tailored to the complexity and scale of the Halifax County Court Renovation. The team produced a comprehensive proposal document structured to communicate phased construction logic and program scope to a non-technical government audience. Custom renderings and animations visualized the finished courthouse interiors before a single wall was removed, giving the selection committee a clear picture of the completed project. A professional film was produced to reinforce the client's narrative and capabilities. Presentation coaching prepared the team to deliver their story with precision and confidence during the live selection interview.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX treated the pursuit as a storytelling challenge, translating a technically complex, phased scope into a clear, owner-focused narrative:

  • Structured the proposal to walk evaluators through each phase logically, making the construction sequence accessible to non-technical decision-makers.

  • Produced renderings and animations that gave the selection committee a vivid picture of finished courthouse spaces before construction began.

  • Delivered presentation coaching that prepared the client's team to speak confidently and cohesively during the live selection interview.

The result was a pursuit package that positioned the client as the most prepared and capable team in the field.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete pursuit package calibrated to the owner's evaluation criteria and the complexity of a phased government renovation:

  • The proposal organized a technically demanding scope into a phase-by-phase narrative that a non-technical review panel could follow with confidence.

  • Renderings and animations gave evaluators a clear visual of the completed courthouse interiors, grounding the submission in tangible design intent.

  • Presentation coaching and a professional film united the client's team around a single, practiced message for the live selection interview.

The client entered the selection with a sharp story, strong visuals, and a team prepared to perform at the highest level.
