Project Overview
The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport New Crossfield Taxiway U in Phoenix, Arizona delivers a major airfield improvement at one of the nation's busiest commercial aviation hubs. The $220,000,000 project encompasses all work related to the new crossfield taxiway structure and airfield components, alongside extensive enabling work including modifications to the Facilities and Services Complex, ramp and air cargo building modifications, roadway relocations, and utility modifications. A portion of the project qualifies for FAA grant reimbursement. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop renderings and animations in support of the competitive pursuit.

Client Challenges
The client faced a pursuit where the enabling scope was nearly as complex as the taxiway itself:
A scope covering taxiway construction, facility and cargo ramp modifications, roadway work, and utility relocations required visuals that made the program legible as a whole.
An active international airport required imagery that communicated complex airfield and enabling work without obscuring the project's scope or phasing.
A $220M investment with FAA grant components required renderings and animations calibrated to the scale of a major aviation infrastructure pursuit.
Together, these called for a package that made a complex, multi-element airfield project feel as organized as the airport it would serve.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX produced renderings and animations for the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport New Crossfield Taxiway U in Phoenix, Arizona. The renderings depicted the full project scope, including the new crossfield taxiway structure, Facilities and Services Complex modifications, air cargo ramp and building modifications, roadway relocations, and utility work, giving the City of Phoenix evaluation team a comprehensive visual picture of the completed program. Animations brought the airfield project to life, communicating the scale and interconnected nature of the taxiway and its enabling infrastructure in a dynamic format. All deliverables supported the competitive submission.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX approached this as a program where the enabling work was as important to communicate as the taxiway itself.
Developed renderings that captured the full program, from the taxiway structure and airfield work to facility, cargo, and roadway enabling components.
Framed the FAA-eligible taxiway components and the broader enabling work as one integrated aviation infrastructure investment, not a collection of isolated scopes.
Produced animations that gave the City of Phoenix a dynamic view of a $220M airport program at the scale it demanded.
The result was a package that made a complex airfield program feel as organized as the airport it would serve.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered renderings and animations that gave the Crossfield Taxiway U program a visual case equal to its $220M scope.
Renderings captured the full program scope, from the taxiway structure and airfield components to the facility, cargo ramp, and roadway modifications.
Animations gave the City of Phoenix a dynamic view of a completed program spanning the full airfield and enabling infrastructure.
The combined package gave the client visuals that made a technically complex, multi-element aviation investment feel cohesive and well-planned.
The client entered the City of Phoenix selection with imagery built to carry a landmark aviation infrastructure investment.
