Project Overview
The Sumter Service Center and Fire Training Drill Building project brought new municipal infrastructure to Bushnell, Florida. The Board of Sumter County Commissioners acquired the project property in January 2023 and advanced plans for a combined service center and fire training facility requiring substantial offsite utility work. The scope covered 2,040 feet of 8-inch potable water main and 7,700 feet of 4-inch sanitary sewer force main. To support the pursuit, the client engaged PRESWERX to develop the proposal, design the selection presentation, and coach the project team ahead of the owner review.
Client Challenges
The client needed to communicate a technically dense infrastructure scope clearly to a county owner while standing out in a competitive procurement. Three challenges shaped the pursuit:
Framing nearly 10,000 linear feet of utility work as a unified, owner-friendly project story
Developing a proposal and presentation that organized team qualifications and project approach with clarity
Coaching the team to deliver the presentation with confidence in a live interview setting
Effective pursuit support required coordinating all three at once.
Scope of Work
PRESWERX developed a full pursuit package for the Sumter Service Center and Fire Training Drill Building competition. The work began with a written proposal that organized the project scope, team credentials, and technical approach into a clear document for the county owner. PRESWERX then designed a selection presentation that translated proposal content into a structured visual narrative for the review panel. The team also led presentation coaching sessions to prepare the project team to speak confidently to each section and respond to panel questions. Each deliverable was tailored to the specific demands of a formal county procurement in Bushnell, Florida.
