Project Overview

A $210,000,000 infrastructure upgrade in Venice, Florida set out to transform the Venice Gardens Water Reclamation Facility into an Advanced Water Treatment facility for Sarasota County. The project targeted a significant reduction in nutrient levels in the reclaimed water produced by the wastewater treatment plant, directly contributing to the improvement of water quality in Sarasota Bay. The environmental scope and public significance of the upgrade required compelling visuals to support the pursuit. The client engaged PRESWERX to produce renderings and animations that communicated the facility's transformation and the environmental impact of the advanced treatment upgrade.

Client Challenges

Pursuing a $210,000,000 water infrastructure upgrade for a county environmental agency required the client to translate a technically complex project into a story that resonated with a public owner:

  • Visualizing the transformation of an existing wastewater treatment facility into an Advanced Water Treatment plant before the upgrade began.

  • Communicating the environmental significance of nutrient reduction and its direct benefit to Sarasota Bay to a public, community-focused owner.

  • Differentiating the design team's technical approach in a competitive water infrastructure procurement.

The client needed visuals that made a complex environmental engineering project immediately legible and compelling.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX produced renderings and animations for the Venice Gardens Water Reclamation Facility upgrade, developing visual assets that communicated the scope and environmental purpose of the Advanced Water Treatment conversion. Renderings depicted the upgraded facility, giving Sarasota County a clear picture of the planned improvements to the plant's infrastructure and treatment systems. Animations illustrated the treatment process and the project's role in reducing nutrient discharge into Sarasota Bay, connecting the technical scope to its real-world environmental impact. Together, the deliverables gave the client a powerful visual tool for communicating a complex infrastructure investment to a public owner.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX focused on bridging the gap between technical engineering scope and public environmental impact, producing visuals that made the upgrade's purpose clear to a county owner and community audience. The team addressed three priorities:

  • Rendering the upgraded facility at a level of detail that communicated the scale and character of the Advanced Water Treatment conversion.

  • Animating the treatment process to connect the engineering scope to its measurable environmental benefit for Sarasota Bay.

  • Producing assets calibrated to the expectations of a public infrastructure procurement.

The result was a visual package that gave a complex environmental project a clear, compelling narrative.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a set of renderings and animations that gave the Venice Gardens WRF upgrade a strong visual foundation for the pursuit:

  • Renderings communicated the scale and character of the planned Advanced Water Treatment facility improvements to Sarasota County decision-makers.

  • Animations illustrated the treatment process and the project's direct environmental benefit to Sarasota Bay, making the technical scope tangible for a public audience.

  • The visual package gave the client a compelling tool for presenting a complex infrastructure investment with clarity and impact.

The client went into the pursuit with visuals that accurately represented the scope and environmental significance of the project.
